Growing up in Bozeman, Montana, I spent every opportunity I could in my kayak, climbing cliff faces, hunting, fishing and doing just about every outdoor activity I could. Writing fiction and becoming an author was a distant dream, something a young dyslexic like me didn’t think was achievable. As a youth, I didn’t expect that I would become a novelist. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in elementary school. I struggled to read, comprehending the words on the page at a third grade reading level through most of high school. It wasn’t until I found neurofeedback therapy that I could read and write at the same level as my peers. Before striving to become an author, my path as an avid whitewater kayaker and wildland firefighter lead me to a bachelor's degree in the Science of Forestry at the University of Montana. After college was the point in my life when decided to start writing fiction. I dove in headfirst and haven't turned back. Now, I’m a published author who's discovered my passion for being a fantasy novelist.

As I continue my career, I plan on producing unique worlds and engaging characters that my readers will love. Though I don’t kayak off ninety-foot waterfalls or run Class-V whitewater as frequently, I have plenty of personal experiences that I can draw from to authenticate my style of writing. If you enjoy my writing, you can follow me on social media or join my newsletter to ensure you never miss a new release. Happy reading.
